Cannabis treatment

Topical[ˈtɒpɪkəl]

Definition:

Topicals are cannabis-infused lotions, balms, and oils applied to the skin and absorbed for localized pain, discomfort, and inflammation treatment. Many choose cannabis topicals because they are commonly non-intoxicating.

Suppose a topical contains active THC, it will not give the user the same high by smoking or ingesting cannabis products. Cannabinoids in most topicals do not penetrate the bloodstream; they only provide localized relief. On the other hand, transdermal patches transfer cannabinoids to the bloodstream if the THC level is high enough. In this case, the user may experience high.
