Shatter

Cannabis extract

Shatter[ˈʃætə]

Definition:

Shatter is a cannabis extract that appears solid and translucent as if it is like glass. Specific processing processes employing solvents such as butane or other hydrocarbons give it a glass-like character.

Shatter is commonly dabbed, a smoking method that involves flash vaporization using a specialized smoking gear known as a dab rig. The strength of shatters varies depending on the chemical content of the source plant and the extraction processes and equipment used. While cannabis flower has a high THC content of roughly 30%, shatter extracts can have 80% to 90% THC.
