Cannabis species

Sativa[Sativa]

Definition:

Cannabis sativa is a widespread species of the marijuana plant which is famous for its head-high effect. The cerebral influence of the sativa plant explains why users consume products associated with it during the daytime.

The following are the characteristics of the sativa cannabis plant:

  1. Height reaching up to 20 feet if grown outdoors
  2. Branches grow outward and upward
  3. Leaves are typically long and narrow
  4. Flowers become prominent at the nodes and expand across the stem’s length

In his interview, Dr. Ethan Russo, a psychopharmacology researcher, remarked that the distinction between indica and sativa needs reconsideration. He argues that it is hard to state the chemical composition of any Cannabis plant just by considering its physical make-up. Only a biochemical assay can provide this type of information.
