Cannabis concentrate

Rosin[ˈrɒzɪn]

Definition:

Rosin is a Cannabis concentrate that is the by-product when heat and pressure are applied onto the Cannabis plant material. The trichome is heated and pressed to produce rosin to obtain an extract similar to BHO without using any flammable solvent.

Preparing rosin does not require any advanced science: heat transforms terpenes and cannabinoids into a malleable resin. A press is then used to squeeze the resin. Materials needed for this process are the following:

  1. Hair straightener or press
  2. Parchment paper
  3. Filter bags
  4. Cannabis products such as nugs, dry sift, bubble hash, etc.
  5. Dabber
  6. Heat-proof gloves

Rosin consumption could be done by smoking it in a bowl, dabbing it in a rig, or by vaping it using a pen made for concentrates.
