Flower part
Pistil[ˈpɪstɪl]
Definition:
In Botany, pistil describes the part of the flower that contains one or more carpels — the plant’s female sex organ.
The cannabis plant’s pistil has vividly colored hairs that are generally bronze or orange in color. The pistil of a high-quality bud has a considerable number of hairs. In an attempt to catch pollen, the pistil will generate cannabinoid and terpene-rich resin the longer it is denied pollination by a male Cannabis plant.
