Open blasting[ˈəʊpən ˈblɑːstɪŋ]

Definition:

Open blasting is an old-fashioned method of cannabis extraction that involves blasting trichomes off cannabis plant material with a flammable solvent outside of a closed-loop system. The solvent is entirely forced through the cannabis plant material, extracting the oils.

Open blasting is a potentially dangerous procedure that is not employed in commercial extraction plants due to the risk of explosion.
