Cannabis concentrate
Kief[kiːf]
Definition:
Kief refers to the trichomes, or resin glands, that accumulate after being sorted from Cannabis flowers using a mesh screen or sieve. Trichomes produce a sticky resin that contains the terpenes and cannabinoids that explain Cannabis’ distinctive characteristics. Kief is an intense form of Cannabis since it is made up of concentrated resin glands. It can be used to top joints and blunts, infuse meals, or press into hash.
To experience kief’s effects, below are some ways to do so:
- By smoking – Kief can be smoked on its own with most smoking equipment, such as a glass pipe.
- By sprinkling – When you add kief to your marijuana flower before smoking or vaping it, it increases its strength, allowing you to smoke or vape less and get the same benefits.
- By mixing – You can also use kief to season a joint or blunt before rolling it.
