Integrated pest management[ˈɪntɪgreɪtɪd pɛst ˈmænɪʤmənt]

Integrated Pest Management, or IPM for short, refers to a multi-point strategy of preventing and controlling pest infestation among cannabis plants. It involves applying methods focusing on the prevention, reduction, and elimination of certain conditions for pest growth.

Coupled with proactive and reactive solutions, effective IPM has the following essential steps:

  1. Setting of environmental conditions that discourage pest growth
  2. Applying a system for proper pest monitoring
  3. If necessary, utilize effective pest treatment
  4. Evaluation of chosen pest treatment
