Hemp[hɛmp]

Definition:

Hemp is a type of cannabis plant that has 0.3% or less THC by dry weight.

Hemp can produce a wide range of cannabinoids, including the psychoactive cannabinoid tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) found in marijuana. However, this plant does not produce enough THC to cause the famous high associated with marijuana smoking.

Hemp, or cannabis with a THC content of less than 0.3 percent, can be used to make various items, including clothing:

  1. Paper
  2. Clothing
  3. Textiles
  4. Animal feed
  5. Plastic
