Definition:
Cannabis extract refers to a refined cannabis product manufactured using a solvent. THC levels in cannabis extracts can be as high as 99 percent. In comparison, dried cannabis buds typically contain 10–25 percent THC.
There are numerous types and forms of cannabis extracts. Here are some of the most widely available today:
- Crumble is a crumbly cannabis extract that is dry and crumbly.
- Wax is a cannabis extract with a sticky, elastic consistency.
- Shatter is a cannabis extract with a final texture that is brittle and quickly snapped.
- Budder is generally created with butane; budder is “whipped” till it resembles butter in terms of consistency.
