Curing[ˈkjʊərɪŋ]

Definition:

Curing is a horticultural term that refers to the process of aging dried plant material to fine-tune the moisture level and allow for the breakdown of sugars and chlorophyll before eating. Cannabis, hemp, sagebrush, bay leaves, tea leaves, and tobacco are just a few of the plants that can undergo curing.

The curing process in cannabis growing results in a cleaner, smoother smoke, improved flavor and potency, and other desirable features. Curing even protects the bud because of the attained moisture level that prevents mildew and other infections from growing.
