Cannabinoid profile[Cannabinoid ˈprəʊfaɪl]
Definition:
In medical cannabis, the cannabinoid profile informs the patient about the concentration of active cannabinoids and terpenes present in their medication. Through the cannabinoid profile, physicians and patients may adequately know and analyze the exact potency of medicinal cannabis products.
Many labs that aim to produce complete cannabinoid profiling utilize high performance liquid chromatography or HPLC. This unique technique measures concentration by extracting a sample into a solvent, isolating the target component, and using a UV detector.
