Cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome[Cannabinoid hyperemesis ˈsɪndrəʊm]

Definition:

Cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS) is a disorder that causes extreme vomiting regularly. It is uncommon and only occurs in everyday marijuana users who have been doing so for a long time.

A review from 2017 According to a study by Trusted Source, 97.4 percent of those who had CHS said they used cannabis at least once a week. Around 75% said they had been consuming cannabis on a regular basis for more than a year.

CHS patients experience frequent bouts of vomiting. There are periods when there are no symptoms in between these bouts. The prodromal, hyperemetic, and recovery phases are three stages that healthcare providers commonly categorize these symptoms into.
