Cannabis growth

Backcrossing[Backcrossing]

Definition:

Backcrossing is a type of cannabis breeding in which a desirable, targeted trait is passed down from parent plant to offspring growth. Backcrossing is helpful in commercial cannabis breeding since it brings out or amplifies specific genetic cannabis features such as tastes, fragrances, effects, high yields, or mold resistance.

It can take up to three to five generations of breeding before the favorable qualities of the parent plant are successfully passed on. Backcross breeding can seem perplexing to a novice, but the goal is to generate the finest overall cannabis strain possible.
